The 26th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is scheduled to take place from June 14 to June 23, 2024.
The 26th SIFF is now open for online media registration. Media personnel attending for interviews and reports shall follow the prompts to fill in the application form in an accurate manner, and submit the supporting materials as required. And we will review your media qualifications based on the registration information.

Application steps
1. Media personnel applying to become registered reporters for the 26th SIFF, please download and install the “SIFF-Shanghai International Film Festival” APP (click to download) on your phone, then visit www.siff.com on your PC, and enter the “Journalist Registration” section in “REGISTRATION`SUBMISSION”.
2. Please fill in the registration application form accurately, and upload the supporting materials as required, including the standard ID photo taken within half a year, the information page of the press card issued and annually inspected by the national competent authority, and the letter of introduction issued and sealed by the unit. For website and new media covering and editing personnel, please upload a photocopy of the ID card and the collective registration certificate issued by the unit, and indicate the name of website or new media.
3. Upon registration, please upload the link of recent reports on SIFF or other film fields, or send the link of relevant reports to press@siff.com. The above links are not required, but they will be important reference factors when the Press Department of the organizing committee reviews media qualifications.
4. After the registration application is submitted, the Press Department of the organizing committee will check your relevant information. When your registration is approved, we will send a confirmation letter to your registered email address. The confirmation letter will explain how to use the electronic media certificate adopted by this year’s SIFF. Otherwise, no further email notification will be made.
Notes
1. This year, SIFF will adopt the electronic media certificate with a dynamic QR code. After your media registration information is confirmed, please obtain the electronic media certificate through the official APP or WeChat applet of SIFF with your registered account. And it is not necessary for you to get it at the registration center. Media personnel will be allowed to participate in the relevant activities of this SIFF or receive corresponding services with the electronic media certificate.

For media personnel from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, as well as foreign countries and regions, applying to become the SIFF registered reporters, please contact the SIFF staff to complete relevant procedures through the email address: press@siff.com, if failing to install the “SIFF-Shanghai International Film Festival” APP.
4. After submitting the registration form, if there is a change in personnel, please provide relevant supporting and explanatory materials, and send an email notification to press@siff.com. And temporary replacement of journalists on site will not be allowed.
5.To make the latest news materials of SIFF available to the media, we’ll set up the “Online News Center” on the SIFF official website during SIFF. Media reporters can enter the "Online News Center" with registered account and password to obtain such material, and make interview and event application appointments.
6. During SIFF, the organizing committee will partially provide lunches and dinners for registered reporters in Shanghai according to the daily event schedule. Yet the transportation and accommodation expenses will be at your cost.
